PROJECT TYPE - Student Short

PROJECT SYNOPSIS - "Omi and Opa" unfolds on a pivotal afternoon at Ben's family home. Ben, a curious 10-year-old, listens as his grandparents, Otto and Lilli, are delivering testimonials on their experiences during the Holocaust. Ben’s parents, Bill and Susie, believing the story too intense for his young age, send him to play in another room. However, determined to not be excluded, Ben sneaks back and eavesdrops on their conversation. As he listens, he uncovers lessons about their past and begins to forge a deeper connection between himself, his grandparents, and their shared family history.

RATE - Unpaid, travel and meals covered, as well as a copy of the film and invitation to a screening of the film at NYU.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS

BEN - 10 year old, Jewish male. Grew up in St. Louis the grandchild of holocaust survivors. He is inquisitive, and curious about his familial history. He does not know his grandparents' story but he is drawn to it.

SUSIE - 38-48 years old, Jewish female. Susie is very loving but fiercely protective of her child. She is the child of Otto and Lilli, the holocaust survivors. She has also never heard all of their stories and she desires to shield Ben from that world for as long as she can.

BILL- 38-48 years old. Jewish male. Bill is Susie’s husband. He is also very loving but believes that these stories are Ben’s history and he should be in the room. He is playful, especially with his child.

JANE- 25-50 years old. Jewish Woman. She interviews Otto and Lilli. She is kind and a great listener. She travels around St. Louis conducting interviews with Holocaust survivors.

Omi and Opa centers around one particular afternoon in the family’s home when Ben’s grandparents, Otto (88) and Lilli (82), are delivering a testimonial on their experiences during the Holocaust. Ben’s parents, Bill (46) and Susie (45), deciding he is too young to hear the story, ask him to go play in the other room. Determined not to be excluded, Ben sneaks his way back into the room, discovering lessons not only about their youth but also a deeper connection to the generations that came before him.

This film aims to bring the Nativity story to life in a fresh, character-driven approach. By focusing on the human elements of faith, doubt, and transformation, we'll create a relatable and powerful narrative that resonates with modern audiences while staying true to the biblical account.

As Mary grapples with her extraordinary calling, her betrothed, Joseph, must come to terms with a situation that challenges his faith and social standing. Against the backdrop of a oppressive political climate under King Herod, Mary and Joseph embark on a perilous journey to Bethlehem. Meanwhile, in the East, a group of wise men interpret celestial signs and begin their own quest. The story culminates in the humble birth of Jesus, with shepherds and wise men alike paying homage, while Herod's jealousy and fear lead to tragic consequences that force the holy family to flee to Egypt. Throughout, we explore themes of faith, obedience, love, and the tension between divine plans and human understanding.

Logline A timid prince becomes the bold leader of a nation in this epic retelling of Moses' journey from privileged Egyptian royal to humble prophet, set against the backdrop of the Ten Plagues and the Exodus. Synopsis In ancient Egypt, Moses, a Hebrew raised as an Egyptian prince, struggles with his identity and purpose. After killing a man in a misguided attempt at justice, he flees to the desert. There, a divine encounter at a burning bush transforms him from a stuttering shepherd to God's chosen deliverer. Returning to Egypt, Moses confronts the prideful Pharaoh, portrayed as a charismatic leader with a god complex. As Moses gains confidence, Pharaoh's arrogance crumbles in the face of increasingly devastating plagues. The 412 will follow a group of cops as they navigate the rise in crime in the 412 and corruption within the Steel City Police Department.

Based on a true story. A group of German students during WWII risk their lives to spread information that will bring an end to the Nazi regime, and many pay the ultimate price for their resistance.

During the making of my first film, I came up with a great idea for a Horror film. I aim to finish this project in secret so I can release it next year. It will be a simple but effective slow burn that mixes Vampire movie elements with Thriller movies about crazy girlfriends. Think "Play Misty For Me" meets "Fright Night". 

Elmer, a meek and weak man, meets a girl he apparently went to high school with named Emilia. She quickly takes over his life, his work, and puts him under her spell. Can he stand up to her and turn his life around before it's too late?

This story has been rewritten for the last time!! lol! This will be shot in Pittsburgh. Feature length series. Paid project. I'm looking for new and upcoming actors looking to build their reels and showcase their skills. 

Meet Bonnie a young woman who's been through a rough upbringing and abusive relationship. She tried to do things but society wouldn't accept her after she beat murdering her abusive boyfriend. 
You'll meet her best friend/right hand that's been through it all with her

You meet a couple detectives Pope and Linda Williams that won't rest til Bonnie is off the street

This series will be a mixture of cop drama, toxic family, betrayal, and triumph
